I woke up one morning with a shocking insight. Gosh, I am 85 years old – how did that happen so fast! I asked myself what an 85 year old person was supposed to look like, feel like, think like, and live like. I certainly didn’t feel old (whatever that was). I wondered if there was a way to transition into an Elderhood mindset by being content and satisfied in the later years without all the belief systems, myths and fears of what is implied in the culture (i.e. being sick and decrepit, et al.). Our culture seems to have a stereotypical view of older people as rocking-chair relics, forgetful, feeble and when retirement starts at age 65 it pretty much stops life.
So that is why I wrote this book, to assist anyone who wants to know more about what the Aging Process is all about, how to cope with the normal process of aging and all the physical decline symptoms, medical industry abuse and dealing with death and the mourning that comes with it. I truly hope this book gives you the motivation to smile while finding find your own best way to enjoy the heck out of the Aging process.
