Career and Life Coach
Marge Powers brings over 20 years of combined professional experience in the fields of human resources, career consulting, career management, job development, organizational development and life coaching to her clients.
Marge is a seasoned strategist in all phases of successful job searching techniques and, she has proven track record of managing over 1,200 career marketing campaigns for professionals in all walks of life. She has facilitated over 200 seminars and has logged hundreds of hours in one-on-one consulting. Marge uses a combination of practical problem solving and a cognitive approach to counseling that focuses clients on their strengths, interests and motivators in order for them to gain the important criteria for finding the type of job that actually fits the client's individual needs. Additionally, Marge holds a master practitioner's certificate in Neuro Linguistics (Human Patterning) from the NLP Institute of California. She also is certified from John F. Kennedy University in Life and Career Coaching.
As a result of Marge's own career and life assessments, she ventured on her own to create the Career Discovery Builder and launched her Winning Ways, Career and Life Strategies Consulting Services in 1990.
Throughout her career, Marge has also contributed to the community by writing for the Contra Costa Times as their Career Advice Columnist and has written articles for the Brentwood Press, The Woman's Voice, as well as the Chamber of Commerce Clarion Newsletter.
